MANCHESTER – Eleven Manchester School District teachers are among the nominees for 2025 New Hampshire Teacher of the Year.

The Teacher of the Year program, which is operated by the state Department of Education, is a multi-step process that begins with nominations early each year. Nominees must accept and complete an application to be considered. Out of 76 nominees statewide this year, 11 serve in city schools.

“I am so incredibly proud of all of our nominees for earning this recognition,” said Superintendent Jennifer Chmiel Gillis. “This is another excellent showing for our dedicated staff. While this process involves many steps, it begins with a simple one: a nomination. That nomination is a vote of confidence and a strong reminder that, every day, our staff make a major impact. We hope you’ll join us in congratulating all of the nominees.”
