About Me: Hello! My name is Amy Gerow, and I’m excited to be a part of Bakersville school this year! A little about me—I absolutely love the fall season, with its crisp air, colorful leaves, and cozy atmosphere. When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, whether we’re exploring new places, trying out new activities, or simply enjoying each other’s company. For me, it’s all about creating meaningful experiences and memories. I’m also deeply passionate about my Salvadorian culture and language, and I love sharing it with others. I enjoy learning about other cultures, especially through their foods, and I believe it’s a beautiful way to connect with people from all around the world. I love to teach because I cherish the opportunity to see the world through a child’s eyes. Their curiosity, wonder, and unique perspectives remind me of the magic in learning. About Me: Hello! my name is Mrs. Brisson and this is my 6th year at Bakersville. When I am not at school I am usually at the lacrosse field or camping with my husband and three kids. I love to be outside near water or at a campfire. I love teaching student's how to read and sharing all of the my learning about your reading brain! Did you know your reading journey started when you were just a tiny baby?! The best part of first grade is seeing students have their “Aha” moment! I also love that I can to watch my students grow for another 3 years before they leave Bakersville. I hope my students will always know "They can do hard things."

About Me: I am often seen walking to school, or in the Calef Rd neighborhood walking with my dog. I live in a house that my great grandparents built. My dad now owns it. I love to read out in the yard, reading during the summer. I grew up near by to where I live now. I come from a very small family. I only have one sister who lives in a small town near here. My mom lives close by too, I often walk to her apartment to check in with her.
On Tuesdays I can be found walking the homeless dogs, at the Manchester Animal Shelter. I adopted my dog Savannah from there. The shelter does have some programs to help pet owners with spay/neutering. If you have any questions about the programs, please ask me, and I will help if I can.
